Whether you’re a professional photographer, hobbyist, or just having fun with your Instagram game, Baltimore has plenty of spots that make you want to snap a picture. Here’s a list of some of the most Instagrammable spots in Baltimore City.
Topside/Hotel Revival
Topside is a rooftop bar at the top of Hotel Revival in Mt. Vernon. It’s Instagrammable for its great view of Mt. Vernon Square and beyond, plus a cute lounge area with comfy couches, lots of plants, and exposed brick walls. The hotel’s stairwell is also decorated with colorful wallpaper and a massive chandelier.

The Bygone
The Bygone is another rooftop restaurant and lounge, this time on the top floor of the Four Seasons Hotel in Harbor East. It’s Instagrammable not only for its 1920’s-style, glitzy decor, but for its beautiful view of the city from the balcony and floor-to-ceiling windows. The Bygone also has some strong cocktails with nice presentation, made to be photographed before they’re enjoyed.
Graffiti Alley
Graffiti Alley is a place for artists to express their talents on an ongoing basis. Art in the alley is always changing, making it a great place to return from time to time to see what’s new.
Graffiti Alley is located in the artsy neighborhood of Station North, behind the Motor House, and is always available for a photo shoot or selfie.
Hotel Monaco stairs
Even though the staircase at the Hotel Monaco is often used for wedding photographs, there’s no rule saying you can’t snap a pic for the Gram! The white marble staircase and detailed ceiling and windows make for an elegant shot, even if the price of booking a room is too rich for your blood.
Patterson Park Pagoda
The Patterson Park pagoda is decorated with lights during the holidays and surrounded by magnolia trees in the spring so there are many opportunities to get a good shot in front of it. During certain hours, you can also go inside and climb to the top to get a wide view of the park and take some shots from below or above.
Rawlings Conservatory
Rawlings Conservatory is one of my favorite places in Baltimore because it immerses you in different natural environments. The conservatory includes a palm room (pictured), orchid room, and Mediterranean, Desert, and Tropical rooms. There are walking paths, benches, and plenty of plants and trees that result in peaceful photos with a natural backdrop.
Union Collective
Union Collective is on this list for its huge, colorful mural, created by artists Jessie Unterhalter and Katey Truhn. The outside patio area where the mural can be found is often packed with patrons, but get there outside of the Collective’s normal business hours to get the perfect, crowd-free shot.
Peabody Library
The George Peabody Library is Instagrammable for obvious reasons – its architecture is simply gorgeous. Opened in 1878, the library features cast-iron balconies that rise up to a 61-foot high skylight. Although it’s a library and therefore quiet, they won’t mind you snapping a few photos while looking around.
Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower
For a cool, industrial backdrop and great natural lighting inside the Bromo Seltzer Arts Tower’s clock room, just pay $8 for a guided tour. Not only will you get some great shots, you’ll also learn a little Baltimore history and see some nice artwork since the tower serves as artist residences and studios.
Murals throughout the city
There are too many murals peppered all over Baltimore to list every one, but any of them make for great Instagram backdrops or as the focus of a shot.
