Feeling stir crazy, but don’t know what to do? Need a date idea? Want to discover a new city? AmazingCo can help with that.

AmazingCo is a global company that creates app-guided experiences in cities around the world. Once you purchase an experience, they send you on a curated walking tour in a particular neighborhood or provides at-home games and experiences with friends or a date.

Some of the AmazingCo app-guided city tours include Mystery Food Walks, where clues lead you to different restaurants within a food quarter, Insta Worthy Adventures, where you’re led to different photo-friendly spots, and Drink Discovery Walks, where you can sample coffee, cocktails, or beer at various cafes, bars, and breweries. The cost of all your food and drinks is included in the initial purchase price.

I went on a Mystery Picnic with Friends, as opposed to a Mystery Picnic with a Date. The day before the picnic, I received a link to a set of clues, each one leading us to the next stop to pick up food for our picnic. No worries if you’re not good at deciphering clues—you can skip the clue to show the next location. On the way, it also gives you suggestions for scenic walking routes with different points of interest.

My Mystery Picnic was located in Georgetown, with a small optional detour into the Foggy Bottom neighborhood. Check out some of the scenic highlights below including Cady’s Alley and the C&O Canal in Georgetown.

The food and the food vendors were great. We collected salad, all the fixings for a charcuterie board, hummus, a delicious lentil dip, mini dessert pastries, and juice of our choice. Although it was a lot to carry around, all the vendors were within a few blocks of each other. We then spread out everything on a picnic blanket at the Georgetown waterfront and enjoyed the food and views.

I recommend AmazingCo app-guided city tours to anyone who has been itching to get out of the house, but wants the option to socially distance outdoors. It’s also a creative date idea and a great way to discover a city, whether it’s the city you live in or one you’re visiting for the first time. Don’t forget to book your AmazingCo experience through this link.

Enjoy!
