Whether you’re interested in gardening and herbs, lavender-infused food and drinks, or getting the perfect Instagram photo, the Maryland Lavender Festival is for you. Lavender is known to help with anxiety and depression, so why not consider it a self-care activity too?
About the Maryland Lavender Festival
The annual event is held during peak bloom for one weekend in June at Springfield Manor Winery & Distillery in Thurmont, Maryland. They produce wine, beer, and liquor. The peaceful setting includes a vineyard and lavender field with a mountainous backdrop beyond the estate’s manicured grass. Just an hour’s drive from Baltimore and Washington, DC, it’s the perfect summer event.
The Maryland Lavender Festival includes food, music at an outdoor patio, and vendors. But there are also seminars on topics like identifying and preserving herbs, edible flowers, and wellness with essential oils. Even though the event sold out (it sells out quickly every year), it didn’t feel too overcrowded.
Tickets for Saturday and Sunday are sold separately. Make sure to buy your ticket as soon as they become available because the event is known to sell out quickly. Over the years, it’s become a very popular event!
Have you attended the Maryland Lavender Festival yet? If so, what did you think?
